I have years of experience with piano tuning for numerous individuals, institutions and concert halls including being the primary tuner for Kansas City’s Kauffman Center for Performing Arts and The Folly Theater.

Other In Home services

Some minor repairs like sticking keys can be done in the home, as well as voicing and partial regulation, cleaning, etc.

Rates

Tuning: $175 for a standard tuning within reasonable travel distance

House Call: $50 for a house call to examine your piano and discuss options

Rebuilding

A complete rebuild of a piano is an intensive project that requires disassembly, inspection and repair. All deteriorated, worn or damaged parts will be replaced. Complete Rebuilding is comprehensive and involves the entire piano structure: soundboard, bridges, pinblock, strings, action, keyboard and case refinishing. Partial Rebuilding can include only one or two of these areas, depending on the specific needs of the instrument.

Rebuilding restores the piano to its original condition or better. Such comprehensive work is usually most practical for high quality instruments such as Steinway, Mason & Hamlin grand pianos.
